Trillian Auto Backup 1.3 (Win32/Standalone)

Note: This is a third party application and not directly associated with Cerulean Studios.

Ever lose your Trillian settings or buddy list (buddies.xml) when Trillian crashed?

Trillian Auto Backup (TAB) will make local backups of your buddies (or optionally most configuration files,
it does not backup logs or conversation history, only settings) as well as upload your buddies.xml to a FTP
server (which may be used to sync several instances of Trillian).

TAB is simply a front end launcher for Trillian that does a job then exits, the reason for this is two fold:

* Why keep something in memory when you don't need to (this originally started out as a plugin)
* This avoids any "race" condtions or problems with files being overwritten when Trillian is exited.

On the first run of TAB it will display the configuration screen:

A backup directory off of the user profile path will be created. This will contain timestamped subdirectories that house the copied files.

When the TAB splash screen is displayed (it lasts for 1.5 seconds) 3 buttons are active:

Keys active on launch:

TAB - Displays the configuration dialog
CONTROL - Manual backup
SHIFT - Restore from a backup

When TAB ends it will automatically launch Trillian and stop running.

Note: FTP will only save/restore your buddies.xml;and old copies are NOT purged automatically.
